I feel cool.   I never find deals but I found a deal today.  It makes me want to be deal savvy . . . but it takes too much time.  So for a limited time (about 30 seconds) I am taking my place as the "deal queen".

I had a call with Richard Paul Evans about doing some content and promotions with us for his next book called the "5 Secrets for Women" (a book about finances) it's an offshoot of the book "The 5 Secrets a Millionaire Taught Me" and he mentioned that he was getting rid of some copies of his old book "The Christmas Box" and he's giving the books away for free - you just pay shipping.  So you get a box of 25 books for $15.  I"m sure you've all heard about it - it's a New York TImes bestseller from awhile ago etc. etc.  These would be awesome neighbor or friend gifts etc. so I thought I'd pass it along.

Results for our Moms and Holiday Spending Survey

Check out the results for our survey on how the economy is affecting mothers and their holiday spending this season - 

Interesting findings from TodaysMama.com: 

85% of moms said they will be cutting their holiday spending

Over 46% said they would cut their holiday budget by 50% or more!

62% will not be shopping on Black Friday this year 

23% of mothers surveyed have returned to work full or part time because of the economy

There's lots of interesting data in there.  We had more than 1050 moms around the country participate in the survey.

Now I realize that there are those of you out there who think these pictures are alien looking . . . even mutant. Put your irrational judgments aside and also consider that she had her mouth open and the umbilical chord was covering the side of her face (which we edited out).  For those of you who know my other two kids, in my estimation, this cute little nugget has her brothers face shape and her sisters Angelina Jolie lips.

Tree Thieves

So I have this reoccurring dream about someone stealing my favorite tree out of my front yard. It's a Japanese Maple and it's even a little jacked up.  In my dream I am devastated.  And every time I wake up I rush to the window to make sure my trees are all in tact.
